Circular To participants in the UNI Conference on Organising in the Network Economy UNI Conference on Organising in the Network Economy Documentation and Organisational Arrangements Dear Colleagues, This circular concerns arrangements for the UNI Conference on Organising in the Network Economy to be held on Tuesday, 18 July 2000 in Edinburgh. Documentation and website Documentation for the meeting is enclosed. Please bring this with you to Edinburgh. A UNI web site has been created, where documents are available on-line. The site also contains practical information about the city of Edinburgh. The address of the web site is: http://www.union-network.org/Unisite/Events/Conferences/Edinburgh.htmlVenue of the meeting and hotel accommodation The Conference will be held in the Pentland Hall of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), The Exchange, Edinburgh EH3 8EE, Scotland. Participants who reserved hotel accommodation through UNI should by now have received confirmation from Eyas. Transport from the airport to the hotel If you fly into Edinburgh airport, it is recommended that you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. Edinburgh City Centre is a 20 minute journey and costs approximately £14-15. Average journey costs are about £1.50 per mile. Registration All participants are required to register for the Conference. This will take place in the Strathblane Hall (main entrance) of the EICC and participants can register at either of the following times: Monday, 17 July from 17.00 to 18.300 Programme The Conference will open at 09.00 on 18 July and close at 17.30. A reception, starting at 19.30, will be organised by UNI’s British affiliate CWU in the evening. It will be held at Our Dynamic Earth, Holyrood Road, Edinburgh EH8 8AS. Interpretation Simultaneous interpretation will be available to and from English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, as well as from Danish, Dutch and Norwegian.
