Metro will open Real hypermarkets in Moscow

German commerce multinational Metro plans to open twenty Real hypermarkets in Moscow. Financial Times Deutschland reports today that a feasibility study points at a chain of twenty hypermarkets. Metro Cash & Carry is already present in the Russian capital, where the first wholesale market was opened some time ago.

UNI Commerce is preparing an organising project in Moscow, together with the Russian commercial workers' trade union. The campaign will target Metro and other multinationals. At the forthcoming UNI Commerce Commercial Workers' Summit, the project will be discussed with Tatiana Krylova, president of the Moscow commerce trade union.
