Global Unions to have strong presence at the World Summit on Sustainable Development
Nearly 400 trade union representatives from all over the world will be present at the World Summit on Sustainable Development which will take place between August 26th and September 4th in Johannesburg, South Africa. The overall aim of the Trade Union delegation is to convince the international community and, most importantly, national Governments, that the future of Sustainable Development can be achieved through proper employment and decent working conditions.
Among the delegates will be a number of TUAC representatives who will participate in many key side events, parallel events and at the main UN summit itself. TUAC will also take a leading role in organising Trade Union activities and presence during the Summit.
