Women's network will
meet in Sarajevo:
Employment and workers' rights top union agenda in commerce and finance The active women's network, which has emerged from the Uni Commerce project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will meet in September, for its third conference. Initiated by women trade unionists who have participated in Uni Commerce project activities, the network brings together women from both entities and all population groups of the country. The network is indeed unique in this divided country as it does not include any entity level structures. All participants in the network are equal, whether they happen to live in the Serb Republic or the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The network includes commercial and financial workers as well as other interested women. Last year, the women's network arranged a large number of courses and meetings. A training material has also been produced. FIET trade union solidarity project personnel have visited women trade unionists in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, initiating local women's groups which form part of the network.
