The aim of this Internet based operation is to add efficiency to the supply chain between suppliers and retailers. Another similar structure, the Worldwide Retail Exchange groups together other leading multinationals, such as Auchan, Casino,, Ahold, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Kingfisher, Safeway, Albertson and Target. World's largest retailer Wal-Mart has its own operation. The GNX retailers buy from more than 70,000 suppliers, partners and wholesalers worldwide, for an annual amount of 200 Billion U.S. Dollars. |
