WorldWide Retail Exchange
gets eleven new members
World Wide Retail Exchange, the business to business
e-commerce marketplace, get eleven new members. Among them
are large multinationals such as US based Toys"R"Us
and German retail giants Rewe and Tengelmann. Also French
Galeries Lafayette joins WWRE, as well as the Coops of
Switzerland and Italy.
The e-commerce marketplace, which was established only this
year, already includes major players such as Albertson's, Best
Buy, CVS/pharmacy, Gap, J.C. Penney, Kmart, Rite Aid
Corporation, Safeway, Supervalu, Target and Walgreen, British
Dixons, Kingfisher, Marks & Spencer, Safeway and Tesco,
French Auchan and Casino, Belgian Delhaize Group, Danish
Dansk Supermarked, German Edeka, Spanish El Corte Ingles, Dutch
Ahold,
Japanese Jusco
and the Hong Kong based Dairy Farm International.
Other
retail giants, including Carrefour, Sainsbury and Metro, are
grouped in the competing GlobalNetExchange. Wal-Mart, world's
largest retailer, has established its own exchange.
