GEHE works council members want a more efficient dialogue

The European works council of GEHE, the large German pharmaceuticals wholesaler, wants management to pay more attention to how their agreement is implemented. A recent seminar in Frankfurt identified several areas where improvements could be made in the way that the works council is operating.

The GEHE European works council consists of members from five European countries. The largest contingent comes from Ver.di, the German UNI Commerce affiliate. Alex Rüdig of UNI Commerce spoke at the GEHE seminar, focusing in particular on developments in the European social dialogue and the impact of integration on employment and working conditions in commerce. These themes were followed up also in  the reports from the participating countries.
