Metro goes to Russia, Vietnam Metro, the German commerce multinational, announced that it will next year open its first cash and carry wholesale hypermarket in Moscow, Russia. Until 2005, the network will expand to comprise five or six stores. The company will also open a cash and carry in Vietnam. Together with German affiliate DAG and the Russian commerce trade union, Uni Commerce is planning an organising campaign which aims at establishing efficient and modern trade union structures in the new cash and carries in Moscow. |
