Are Wal-Mart and Amazon planning an alliance? According to British newspaper Sunday Times they are. Amazon would run Wal-Mart's e-commerce operation and and the e-trader would get a presence in the 4,500 Wal-Mart stores. According to the article in Sunday Times, Amazon would also get some hard needed cash from Wal-Mart.

Both companies have shown that they want to keep their personnel out of trade unions. Wal-Mart's track record in the United States is as poor as can be. Amazon has recently been said to focus its lay-offs and closures to workplaces with high organising levels.
