Wal-Mart gets second ACFTU Union Local in China Wal-Mart has now got its second ACFTU union local in China. This was established by workers in a store in Shenzen. Last week saw a local trade union structure emerge in the Fujian province. - These developments should convince Wal-Mart that wherever it goes, it will have to adapt to working with unions, said UNI General Secretary Philip Jennings. UNI is scheduled to meet ACFTU in the near future. Wal-Mart employs some 3,000 workers in its 59 stores in China.
